Many people prefer a large garden rather than a small one. They favour big gardens because they can utilize the big spaces and choose every garden design as they please. In contrast, a small garden is often considered difficult to fulfil the needs because of its limited space. However, a tiny garden is easier to maintain and organize, you don’t have to devote time as much as you need for a big garden, and it will also be great for kids garden. To help you organize better, here are some hacks you can apply to save up some spaces and have a well-organized garden.
Ladder Plant Stand
When you don’t have any more spaces in your small garden, use a ladder plant stand and put your plants on it. You can also put this stand at your patio if there is no space at all in your garden. You can put multiple plants on this vertical shelf to save up spaces. Moreover, this stand will make your garden looks less cramped and more organized.
Another vertical garden idea is a shoe rack planter. If you have empty walls in your garden, you can turn a shoe rack into a planter for your vegetable’s seeds. It doesn’t use too much space and very easy to organize.
If you want to have a kitchen garden within the limited space, square foot gardening is the most ideal way. Make 4 feet by 4 feet sized small garden bed (use pallet for tidier result) and split it into sixteen grids (1-foot squares each). Within these grids, you can plant various fruits, or vegetables without using a lot of garden space. Keep in mind to consider the grids’ size when you chose the seeds for this method.
